Biography

At SUU, 2010: Appeared in seven games at quarterback, completed 1-of-5 passes for eight yards, also carried 11 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. His scoring run was a 17-yard scramble against San Diego. Also played on special teams. Played on the defensive side of the ball in the spring, could see action there this fall.

At SUU, 2009: Appeared in four games on special teams and as a backup quarterback but didn’t attempt a pass or carry the ball.

At SUU, 2008: Squad member. Completed 2-of-4 passes for 14 yards in the 2009 spring game.

At SUU, 2005: Redshirted prior to serving an LDS church mission to Quebec, Canada.

Personal: Prepped at Davis High School, where he was an all-state and all-region performer for former SUU letterman Ryan Bishop. Passed for over 1,000 yards and ran for another 600 his senior season when he led the Darts to region and state championships. Also lettered in baseball, earning all-state as well as 5A MVP honors his senior season. Graduated with high honors from DHS. Parents are Stephanie and Mike Olsen. Is majoring in human nutrition.
