Tennessee Owens

Owens comes to SUU by way of Albuquerque Prep School where he served as Head Coach of their Post-Grad Program that saw 10 players receive college scholarships. He also served as an Assistant Coach for their national roster that contains multiple Division 1 players. In his time at Albuquerque Prep, he oversaw all player development, handled the majority of opponent scouting, and had a hand in operations

Prior to Albuquerque Prep, he was an Assistant for Kazma Basketball Club in Kuwait's First Division League. In his time in Kuwait, he helped lead his team to a second place regular season finish and helped guide Kazma to the KBA Finals. He handled all player development and aided in opponent scouting and video.

Prior to his coaching career, Owens played basketball at New Mexico State University, where he was part of some of the most dominant teams in program history.

Father is a long time basketball coach, having coached in the NBA, G-League, NCAA and FIBA
