At New Mexico Junior College: Averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals at NMJC last year when he hit 45.2 percent of his shots and 42.6 percent of his 3-point attempts. Scored 23 points in an upset win over Paris JC. He also spent one season at San Jacinto CC prior to his year at New Mexico JC.

At West Salem High School: Averaged 20.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists his senior season when he earned conference MVP and all-state honors after leading his team to a 26-4 record and an appearance in the state semifinals. Helped team to its first-ever state playoff appearance. Also lettered in football at WSHS.

Coach Reid on Cory: “Cory has good quickness and will help us on both ends of the floor. He gives us something on the defensive end we didn’t have last year. He’s a fierce competitor who does not want to lose. He can play both guard positions, which gives us flexibility along our guard line. He makes good decisions from the point and sets the table for everyone else. He’s also a good free throw shooter, which is important down the stretch in close games when you want your point guard handling the ball.”
