Biography

 

At SUU, 2009-10: Came off the bench in 26 games, averaged 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game; shot .769 from the free throw line, fourth-best on the team.  Was fifth on the team in steals, with 0.5 per game.  Led or co-led team in steals three times, in rebounds, blocks and assists once. Pulled down a career-best nine rebounds, also dished out three assists and scored 10 points in a career-high 35 minutes on the floor at home vs. IPFW. Posted career highs with 12 points, four rebounds (subsequently bettered), four assists and two steals vs. U. of the Southwest. Pulled down a six rebounds, with two steals, an assist and two points at Centenary. Scored four points and tied his career steals high with two at Weber State, also had a rebound in 10 minutes on the court. Scored six points in 19 minutes at Nebraska. Scored eight points with an assist, a rebound and a steal vs. IUPUI. Scored eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers late in the first half that helped lift the team to a 5-point halftime edge, against UMKC, also had three assists and five rebounds in a season-high 28 minutes on the floor. Scored five points with two boards at SDSU. Pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists in 14 minutes at NDSU, also scored two points. Had five rebounds, four points, two blocks and two steals at WIU.

 

At West Jordan High School: A three-time all-state selection for Coach Scott Briggs’ Jaguars, including a first-team selection his senior season when he averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game and shot .840 from the free throw line. A two-time first-team all-region selection, Weirick helped the Jaguars to Utah’s 5A state championship this past season. Was named the region’s MVP as well as the region tournament MVP. Scored 23 points in the state semi-finals. Also earned two football letters playing for the Jaguars.
