Biography
At SUU, 2009-10: Led the team and in free throw shooting at
84.8 percent, would have ranked fourth in The Summit League but didn't have
enough attempts to qualify for the rankings. Finished the season fourth on the
team in scoring with 7.8 points per game, third in assists with 1.2 per game,
fourth in steals at 0.7 spg, and fifth in defensive rebounds with 2.0 rpg. scored
in double figures in 10 games, led team in scoring six times and led or co-led
team in steals seven times. Missed the Hawaii game with an infection in his
foot but played in every subsequent game. Hit two big 3-pointers during the
second half as SUU took control against McNeese St., finished with six points,
two steals and a rebound. Came off the bench to hit 4-of-9 shots, 3-of-6
threes, vs. Tennessee Tech. Led team with 12 points at Utah State, where he hit
all six of his free throws but just 2-of-8 shots, both threes; also had a
then-career-best five rebounds and two assists at USU. Paced team with 19
points at Oral Roberts, where he hit 4-of-7 threes, also pulled down three
rebounds and had a pair of steals. Missed all six of his shots from the field
but was a perfect 4-for-4 from the line at Weber State, where he also tied his
rebounding high at the time with five. Posted or tied his career-highs for
points (26), rebounds (five) and assists (four) vs.
UC Riverside when he scored 24 second half points to help lift the team to the
win. Totaled nine points in the game, hit a pair of critical free throws in the
overtime win against North Dakota State. Scored 10 points with a rebound, two
assists and two steals vs. SDSU. Pulled down a career-best six rebounds at
IPFW. Hit two 3-pointers at IUPUI, finished with six points, an assist and a
steal. Paced squad with 18 points off the bench vs. ORU, also had four
rebounds, and three assists; hit 5-of-8 shots, 3-of-4 threes, and 5-of-6 FTs.
At Snow College: Earned honorable mention all-Scenic West Conference honors last year after leading the Badgers in scoring at 12.9 points per game. He also averaged 2.2 rebounds per game and was a .404 shooter from 3-point range as well as an 80.6 percent free throw shooter last season at Snow, when he helped the team to a 17-4 record. As a freshman he averaged 12.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game and was named honorable mention all-conference after helping the Badgers to a 13-16 overall mark. Scored 33 points in three different games during his JC career.
At Hillcrest High School: A two-time all-state performer at Hillcrest where he helped Coach Brad Tingey’s Huskies to region championships his junior and senior seasons. Helped the team to a 21-3 record his junior year, when the team won 19 straight games, and a 17-5 mark as a senior. Best game was a 40-point night against Bingham High. Also lettered in golf at HHS, earning first-team all-state and academic all-state honors his senior year.
