Jeramie Murray is in his 14th season as assistant coach in the Southern Utah cross country and track program, though this is his sixth season as a full-time assistant. Murray will assist with the cross country teams and will oversee the sprint, hurdle and relay events.
A former Thunderbird sprinter, four-year letter winner and all-conference honoree, Murray graduated from SUU in 1998 with a degree in physical education. He then went on to earn a Master’s degree from SUU in education in 2000 and is currently pursuing a second graduate degree in Sports conditioning and performance.
During his tenure at SUU, Coach Murray has mentored 75 all-conference athletes, 48 individual conference champions, three Newcomers of the Year, two Athletes of the Year and one NCAA all-American, as well as assisting in 36 Summit League team titles, including the 2003-04 dual “Triple Crown” team champions.
Murray, a USATF Level II certified coach, and his wife, Heather, currently reside in Cedar City.
