At SUU 2004-05: Earned Mid-Continent Conference Newcomer of the Year honors ...played in all 10 tournaments last year and finished the season on a roll, placing 12th at the Mid-Con Championship at 12-over par 228 and 17th at BYU’s Cougar Classic at plus-3 219 ... continued his hot play into the summer, finishing in a tie for second at the US Amateur qualifying tournament at Park Meadows and advancing to the US Amateur Championship ... finished fourth on the team with a 75.5 stroke average ... best round was a 68 at Boise State, best finish was the 12th at the Mid-Con, also finished 13th at the SUU Thunderbird Invitational.
At Dixie HS: Helped team to a pair of state championships and three region titles during his high school career ... earned three letters in golf and was a two-time all-stater in both golf and soccer ... was region medalist in 2003 and won three more tourneys during his high school career ... tied for third in the Utah Junior Open and in the ISGT Gold Canyon tourney.
