Biography

 

At SUU, 2010-11: Competed in nine of 11 tournaments and the head-to-head match with Utah State ... finished the season with a 77.0 stroke average ... best round was a 70 at South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational ... best finish was 30th at the Jackrabbit Invite ... finished second on the team twice, at Colorado's Mark Simpson Invitational and at the Jackrabbit.

 

At SUU, 2009-10: Competed for the Thunderbirds in spring of 2010 after joining the team at semester break. Played in all six spring tournaments, best finish was 36th at the Summit League championships, best round was 74 at South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational. Finished the season with a 79.0 stroke average.

Prior To SUU: Competed one season at Dixie State College.

Personal: Graduate of Mt. Baker High School in Cranbrook, B.C. where he was a four-year letter-winner for Coach Rob Taylor and his dad, Darrell Orth. Was a two-time Provincial Champion, he set the tournament record at 5-under par 139 as a sophomore. Competed in the 2006 International Junior Master's tourney, advancing to the round of 16. Also lettered in volleyball. Was Mt. Baker's Male Athlete of the Year in 2006, when he was also named the school's most dedicated male athlete. Parents are Tammy and Darrell. Is majoring in biology with an emphasis on pre-dentistry.
