At SUU 2007-08: Paced team with a 72.3 stroke average, the second-best average in school history ... competed in all 12 of the team’s events, paced team seven times, finished first or second on the squad at all but one where he was third ... had four top-10 and eight top-20 finishes, including second at the Rice Invitational, third at Hawaii’s Agua-Caliente Invite and seventh at The Summit League championships ... low round was 63 at Agua-Caliente ... earned all-Summit League honors as well as academic all-league and CoSIDA academic all-district recognition.

At SUU 2006-07: Competed in 11 of 12 events and finished the season with a team-best 73.0 stroke average, the fifth-best average in SUU history ... earned first-team all-Mid-Continent Conference honors ... led or co-led the team four times and was among the team’s top-three in all but two tournaments ... finished first among Thunderbirds at Hawaii’s District 7 Shootout, BYU’s Cougar Classic, at the Mid-Con championship and co-led the team at the Weber State/Utah hosted Purple & Red Invite ... had three top-10 and six top-25 finishes ... best round was 66 at the Mid-Con, a score which was the team’s best and tied the second-lowest in school history ... earned CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII recognition after posting a 4.0 GPA.

At SUU 2005-06: Played in 10 of 11 tournaments for the Thunderbirds last year and finished third on the team in stroke average at 73.90 ... best round was 67 at Wyoming’s Cowboy Classic ... had three top-10 finishes with six  tourneys in the top-25, best finish was second at SUU’s Thunderbird Invitational where he shot 7-under par 137 ... played 13 rounds at or below par.

At Pine View High School: Earned four golf letters at PVHS ... finished first in his region as a senior and had top-5 finishes at the state tournament as a junior and as a senior ... earned all-state and academic all-state recognition and was the JAG junior player of the year ... claimed the Coral Canyon Open First Flight championship in 2004 ... a member of the National Honor Society, he served as his senior class secretary and was Valedictorian.

Personal: Career stroke average of 73.05 is lowest in SUU history ... competed in the 2008 U.S. Amateur. Advanced to match play at the 2007 Utah State Amateur. Advanced to match play at the 2006 Utah Amateur. 2007 Green Springs Amateur champion. Born Aug. 19, 1987 in St. George, Utah ... parents are Brenda and John McArthur ...biology major with a chemistry minor.
