2023 Outdoors:

• 100 Meters: Nelson achieved a time of 10.99 seconds with a wind assistance of 2.3 meters per second at the Pacific Coast Invitational on April 13, 2023. He also ran the event in 11.07 seconds (wind assistance of 0.5 m/s) at the Vince O'Boyle Track and Field Classic on March 31-April 1, 2023, and 10.80 seconds (wind assistance of 1.8 m/s) at the 2023 Utah Tech Invitational on March 10-11, 2023.
• 200 Meters: In this event, Nelson achieved a time of 21.49 seconds (wind assistance of 1.0 m/s) at the 2023 WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 11-13, 2023.
