Prep: Graduate of Tooele High School where she helped Coach Steve Snow's Buffaloes to a pair of state championships and a pair of runner-up finishes ... a two-time all-state selection, earning first-team honors her junior year and second-team recognition as a senior ... batted .257 with a double, a triple and six RBI her senior season ... an academic all-region honoree, member of the National Honor Society ... also lettered in volleyball, earning academic all-region and first-team all-region honors.

Personal: Mother is Melina Vario ... plans to major in chemistry.
