Before SUU: Played one season at Mesa State College, appearing in four games with two starts in the circle for the Mavericks ... finished the year with a 0-1 record and 6.56 ERA in only 5.1 innings ... averaged a strikeout every fourth batter with five strikeouts in 20 opponent at bats.
