Summit League all-tournament team honors after batting .455 in the tourney,
including a perfect 4-for-4 game in the team's upset win over regular-season
champ Western Illinois in the tourney opener ... led the team and was tied for
the league lead in runs scored with 40, was also tied for second in the
conference in stolen bases (19) and triples (5), and was fourth in hits (61) ...
finished the season second on the team in batting average (.321), was third in
on on-base percentage (.365) and fourth in slugging (.426) ... played in 54 of 55
games, primarily in the outfield but also appeared as the DP.
Before
SUU: Red-shirted at Mt. San Antonio College in
2008. Played at New Mexico State in 2007 where she played in 39 games,
primarily as a defensive specialist and pinch-runner ... she was successful on
7-of-9 stolen base attempts and scored 14 runs, had just six at-bats.
Prep: 2006 Female Athlete of the Year, three time all-league ... hit
.400 her junior year and .334 for her career with a .978 career fielding
percentage at Nogales High School.
