2025- Redshirt Sophomore Season

  • Hit .333 with a .833 OPS in 3 ABs; also hit by pitch once.
  • Appeared in both offensive and pitching roles.
  • Logged 25.2 innings with 15 strikeouts and 1 complete game in dual-role duties.

2024- Sophomore Season

  • Suffered a season ending injury early in the opening weekend 
  • She earned a win in the only game she pitched 

2023- Freshman Season

  • Appeared in 10 games as a pitcher and in 13 games in the field.
  • As a fielder, she logged a .935% fielding percentage with 14 put outs to only 2 errors on the year.

Prep:

  • Led Sabino High School to a 32-3 record and won the 3A State Championship during her senior year
  • Recorded 35 RBI's her senior season
  • In her senior season, Nielson threw 125 innings, finishing the season with a record of 20-2 on the mound
  • Totaled 199 strikeouts and finished the year with a 1.44 ERA
  • Named to the 3A Conference First Team and was recognized as the Region Player of the Year
