Robert Yonce graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Business Administration in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and a Minor in Psychology.
Beginning his athletic career as a coach/counselor at the Pat Summitt Summer Basketball Camp in Tennessee, Yonce continued in the field as head coach and instructor of the Tennessee Fury Youth Basketball Organization where he structured development plans to drive both individual and team performance.
In 2013, Yonce was the 8th grade boys' head coach in Wythe County, Virginia where he designed a new system based on the personnel of the team, conducted individual workouts and presented each player with individual improvements.
Yonce played as a defensive back for the Tennessee Volunteers after competing as a practice player for the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team from 2008-2010.
Prior to Yonce's move to Cedar City, he worked as an office assistant for Nationwide Insurance, assisting the insurance agents with daily operations and clerical work.
Yonce holds a strong resume with a rich background in sports and coaching. Southern Utah is excited for Yonce to join the Thunderbird coaching staff.
