Coach Payne on Sofia: “Sofia had a great career at SLCC and is a proven scorer. She is great in the open court and has one of the prettiest pull up jumpers I’ve seen. She is an outstanding athlete and will be able to play all three guard positions.”
PRIOR TO SUU: Played alongside Marissa Robbins at Salt Lake Community College ... during the past season was the Bruins top-scorer with nearly 15 points a game ... received First Team All-Region and received NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors.
PREP: Was named the Idaho Athlete of the Year while prepping at Sugar-Salem in St. Anthony, Idaho where she recorded over 1,000 points in her high school career.
PERSONAL: Parents are Mark and Laura Hepworth ... majoring in physical education and human performance.
