Patiola Uluave joins Southern Utah University women’s golf program as an assistant coach, bringing four years of Division I playing experience at Utah Valley University, along with experience in junior golf, tournament operations, and rules officiating.
A four-year member of the Utah Valley University Women’s Golf Team, Uluave understands firsthand the dedication and preparation required to compete at the collegiate level. Her experience as a student-athlete has shaped her approach to coaching and her commitment to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the course.
Uluave’s coaching and tournament experience includes working with the PGA of America, where she helps organize and run junior tournaments and works with young golfers who are developing their competitive skills and understanding of the game. She previously served as a Rules Official, starter, and scorer for the Utah Junior Golf Association, where she built strong relationships with players while helping them learn and apply the Rules of Golf.
Uluave earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University. Her background in psychology, combined with her experience as a collegiate athlete and mentor, provides her with a strong foundation in communication, leadership, team development, and understanding the individual needs of student-athletes.
Uluave is passionate about creating a positive team environment, developing confident and resilient student-athletes, and helping each golfer reach her potential both on the course and in the classroom.
