At SUU, 2008-09: Competed in two tournaments … finished eighth on the team in stroke average at 89.5 … best round and finish came at Boise State’s Bronco Invitational where she shot 89-90 to finish in 68th place.

At SUU 2007-08: Competed in seven events, best finish was 50th at BYU’s Dixie Classic ... low round was 95 at Wyoming’s Cowgirl Classic ... finished season with a stroke average of 106.5 ... also competed two seasons on the cross country and track & field teams.

At Murray HS: Didn’t compete in golf in high school but ran cross country and competed in both track & field and basketball … was a two-time region champion who was 4A state champ in 2004 and the 4A Female Runner of the Year in 2003 … two-time cross country all-stater … claimed region titles in the 1600- and 800-m in 2003 and the 2300-m in both 2003 and 2005 … two-time all-stater in the 3200 … holds MHS record for the 1600 and 3200 … four year Honor Roll student and a member of the National Honors Society

Personal: 2001 Murray Parkway Junior Amateur champion ... born April 6, 1987 in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Anita and Dave Torgersen … carrying double majors in Spanish and physical education … spent one year at Dixie State College but didn’t compete … brother Chris lettered in golf at Weber State.
