2008:  Competed on beam and floor in every meet during the season, vault in all but three meets during the season and bars and the all-around in the first meet of the year ... third on the team with a 9.650 season average on beam and 9.650 season average on floor ... Academic all-WAC ... NACGC-W scholar athlete ... WAC Specialist of the Week (2/4) ... recorded season highs of 38.925 (AA), 9.775 (VT), 9.650 (UB), 9.875 (BB) and 9.850 (FX).

2007: Competed on vault in all but four meets and beam in all but two meets during the season ... also competed on the floor during seven meets, including the WAC championships ... ranked fourth on the team in vault with an average of 9.608 and third on floor with an average of 9.732 ... WAC Specialist of the Week (1/12) ... Academic all-WAC ... recorded season-highs of 9.725 on vault, 9.725 on beam and 9.850 on floor ... score counted towards the team score in every meet on vault and floor and all but one on beam.

2006: Competed the entire year on vault as a freshman, on floor in ten meets and on beam three meets. She is the team’s top-returning vaulter with a 9.613 average, placing in the top-three six times.  Also placed in the top-three twice on floor. Scored season-high of 9.800 on floor versus Denver. 2006 NACGC Academic All-American.

Club Highlights:
 Competed in the all-around for Heather Davis and Steve Waples at North Sky Gymnastics. Earned state championships at Level Eight and Nine on vault and at Level Nine on floor as well as a regional floor championship at Level Nine. Was Arizona’s Level Nine Gymnast of the Year in 2003 and won the 2005 Sportsmanship award.

Personal: 
 Parents are Rhonda and David Hicks ... majoring in athletic training ... honor roll student at Prescott HS.

Coach Bauman on Hicks:  “Katie, without question, is one of our top all-around athletes this year.  She stayed over the summer and we revamped her vault and learned a completely new skill.  She’s worked on a new release move on bars and along with Elise will be brilliant in the all-around.”
