Biography

2008:  Competed in every meet during the season on bars, beam and floor and all but two on vault and in the all-around ... first-team all-WAC on bars and beam ... WAC champion on beam ... fourth on the team with a 9.613 season average on beam and 9.645 season average on floor ... recorded season highs of 39.225 (AA), 9.700 (VT), 9.850 (UB), 9.900 (BB) and 9.825 (FX) ... Academic all-WAC ... NACGC-W scholar athlete.

2007: Competed on balance beam and uneven bars in each of the Thunderbirds’ meets ... third on the team with a 9.615 average on balance beam ... competed on floor in nine of the final ten meets during the year ... WAC Specialist of the Week (2/9) ... NCAA regional qualifier on balance beam and uneven bars ... finished with the best score on bars four times and six times on the beam ... scored season-highs of 9.900 on bars, 9.900 on beam and 9.825 on floor.

2006: Competed on balance beam as a true freshman in the final six meets, and led the team in average with a 9.759 ... placed in the top 3 five times, winning the event twice.

Club Highlights:
 Trained at Gymnastics Training Center of Utah under head coach Dave Hancock as well as with Missy Marlowe and Kristy Evers. Competed in the 2003 Utah/Moscow Youth Games.

Personal:
 Parents are Jill and Clay Dangerfield ... majoring in criminal justice.

Coach Bauman on Dangerfield: “Kellie looks to be one of our top all-arounders this year and a force to be reckoned with.  She has improved a great deal on beam and floor and has changed her bar routine a bit, making it stronger and has also been working hard to improve her vault.  She has steadily progressed each of her four years in her skill level, form, approach and mentality of the sport.”
