Prep/Club: All-state selection by both the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune following her senior season at Alta High School. The 5-7 defender from Sandy, Utah was a four-year letter winner for the Hawks and twice captured state titles, first in 2009 and then again in 2011. Butts also competed as a member of the Utah Avalanche, a top ten national ECNL premier club team.

Personal: Parents are Roy Butts and Dori Wintle-Butt ... plans to major in chemistry.

She has been a big piece of the success of her Avalanche ECNL team, which competes at one of the highest levels nationally. She will indubitably help keep a tight back line and limit the number of good opportunities against us in future years.
