Before SUU: Competed at Citrus Community College in Glendora, Calif. ... finished seventh in the hammer at the regional preliminaries in 2012 ... recorded personal best marks of 137-0 in the hammer, 100-0 in the javelin, 31-0 in the shot put and 100-0 in the discus.

Prep: Prepped at Claremont HS, earning one varsity letter in track & field.

Personal: Parents are Chip and Heather Deutchlander ... majoring in athletic training.
