Carlos Valle is rejoining Southern Utah University’s Track and Field program, this time as a coach. With over 12 years of coaching experience, Valle will make an incredible addition to his alma mater’s program. Valle has coached individual athletes and served four years on the coaching staff at the University of São Paulo's AAAOC Track & Field team. 
His personal accomplishments as an athlete include being the 2012 runner-up at nationals in the discus, winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Ibero-American games, and setting a personal record of 59.36 meters (194ft 9in), which was the fifth-best mark in Brazil’s history at that time. 
As an athlete, Valle was a key member of Brazil's national team, competing in the South American Games (2011 & 2013) and Ibero-American Games (2012 & 2016). 
His NCAA Division 1 experience here at Southern Utah saw him as a four-time West regional qualifier in discus, a four-time Summit League champion in discus, and a three-time conference champion in shot put.
Beyond his achievements in competition, Valle has apprenticed under renowned coaches, including Art Venegas, and has coached athletes at the international level, such as Brazilian hammer thrower Allan Da Silva Wolski, who qualified for the world championships under his guidance.
Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish, Valle brings a rich blend of athletic accomplishment, coaching expertise, and an international perspective to Southern Utah University.
