Jeff Tukuafu serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development at Southern Utah University, where he leads fundraising initiatives and works to strengthen resources and support for Thunderbird student-athletes. Now in his ninth year with SUU Athletics and seventh in administration, Tukuafu brings a wealth of experience and deep institutional knowledge to the role.
Prior to this position, Tukuafu served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, overseeing Events, Facilities, Equipment, Capital Projects, software platforms, the SUU Hall of Fame, and the Touchdown Club. He also acted as the sport administrator for football and men’s and women’s golf.
A former standout on the Thunderbird football team from 2008 to 2012, Tukuafu returned to SUU in 2016 as Director of Football Operations, managing scheduling, travel, practice operations, and team logistics. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the department’s operational efficiency and infrastructure growth.
A passionate advocate for the university and its mission, Tukuafu is dedicated to cultivating alumni and community relationships that enhance the student-athlete experience. He and his wife, Amie, live in Cedar City with their son, Ace.
