Southern Utah University Athletics

Parker Haynie joined the staff in January of 2023 as the Assistant Director of Communications for Southern Utah University’s athletic department. 

Haynie was born and raised in Cedar City and got his Bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in media studies from Southern Utah University. Prior to working for the athletic department, Haynie was the sports editor for the University Journal on campus and hosted a podcast where he interviewed multiple coaches and athletes from SUU. He has been covering SUU sports for the last 3 years and is excited to continue doing so.

Parker is married to Brooklyn Haynie who previously ran track for SUU and now works part time taking pictures and running social media for the athletic department.
