Robbins arrives in Cedar City after serving as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Upper Iowa University in 2026. He joined the Peacock strength staff as an assistant coach in the spring of 2025 before earning a promotion to oversee the department.
Prior to Upper Iowa, Robbins spent five seasons at Fresno State. He began as a Strength and Conditioning Coaching Assistant in 2021 before being promoted to Assistant Sports Performance Coach in 2022. During his time with the Bulldogs, Robbins worked extensively with the football program, helping develop speed, strength, and overall athletic performance while contributing to three consecutive bowl victories from 2021-23 and a Mountain West Conference championship in 2022.
In addition to football, Robbins served as the primary sports performance coach for Fresno State's swim and dive program. Under his guidance, the Bulldogs broke multiple school records and posted the program's highest-ever finishes at the Mountain West Championships, placing fourth in 2024 before improving to third in 2025.
Before Fresno State, Robbins worked as a Coaching Assistant at New Mexico State from 2019-20, serving as the lead strength coach for women's golf, women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and swimming and diving while assisting with the football program.
Robbins also gained valuable experience through internships with the football program at North Dakota State in 2019 and Stanford's Sports Performance department in 2018.
A graduate of Humboldt State, Robbins earned his bachelor's degree in Leadership Studies and is pursuing a master's degree in Performance Coaching from Setanta College.
