CEDAR CITY, Utah - Nov. 6 - SUU midfielder Riley Bassett has been named second-team all-Summit League as released by the conference offices during the women's soccer tournament banquet. The award is the first of Bassett's career, but it marks the ninth consecutive year that a member of the SUU soccer team has received a post-season honor.
Bassett led the team in scoring during the year with eight points on two goals and a team-best four assists. The sophomore also led the team in shots with 59, finishing No. 2 in the conference this year. Her four assists placed her in the top ten in the conference, tying for No. 7 in the league and also within the single-season record books of SUU, tying for No. 2 all time.
"Riley is one of those players that opposing coaches remember," head coach Brian Stock said. "She is always around the ball and did a great job for us this year."
