CEDAR CITY, Utah - March 3 - Southern Utah's Elise Wheeler has been named the WAC Gymnast of the Week for a second consecutive week as the senior earned the award for the fifth time this season.

Wheeler recorded a new school record in the all-around with a 39.550 last weekend against the Boise State Broncos.  The all-around title marked her seventh consecutive individual title in the all-around this season as the San Diego, Calif. native also gathered individual titles on bars (9.875), beam (9.900) and floor (9.875).  Wheeler has totaled 22 titles this season.

Southern Utah will be back in action on Sunday night when the Thunderbirds face the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
