CEDAR CITY, Utah, Sept. 30 - College Soccer 360 has recognized Southern Utah freshman Abbie Flandro on its Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll. She is one of only 15 players nationally to earn the distinction, along with athletes from programs such as Florida State, Arizona State, Notre Dame and Alabama.
The Thunderbird forward netted the deciding goal as the Thunderbirds took down Big Sky preseason favorite Portland State by a count of 2-0 on Sunday. The T-Birds improved to 2-0 in conference play for the first time ever after knocking off Sacramento State two days before. The wins represented the program's first victories against both opponents.
Flandro notched her second game-winning score of the season while moving into a tie for the team lead with her third goal. The midfielder from Bountiful, Utah has also recorded two assists and ranks first among SUU scorers with eight total points.
