CEDAR CITY, Utah – Director of Athletics Ken Beazer, as well as Head Coach Ed Lamb, have announced the schedule for the 2015 football season. The Thunderbirds open up against in-state opponent Utah State on September 5. They stay on the road for week two as they head to Brookings, SD to face the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State.

SUU comes home for the first time in week three to face the Bears of Northern Colorado in their first conference game of the season. In week four the Thunderbirds stay at home to face Brevard College on September 26.

The first weekend in October is rivalry week as SUU squares off against the Wildcats of Weber State in the Beehive Bowl. Week six is a bye week for the Thunderbirds, giving SUU two weeks to get ready for Sacramento State at home on October 17.

Weeks eight and nine of the season pits the Thunderbirds against two California school as they go to UC Davis and then face Cal Poly at home.

SUU hits the road for weeks 10 and 11 as they travel to Bozeman to face Montana State and Portland to take on Portland State. The Thunderbirds finish the season at home on November 21 as they welcome Northern Arizona to Eccles Coliseum for the Hinton Burdick Grand Canyon game.

“I'm really excited about the completion of the 2015 schedule,” Coach Lamb said about the 2015 schedule, “To be able to open the season against a great in-state program like Utah State is certainly a big motivator for our players.”
