LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference has announced its academic all-conference honorees with 62 student athletes earning the distinction. Southern Utah led the way with 15 honorees and were followed by Boise State (14), Utah State (13), Denver (11) and BYU (9).

The academic all-conference awards are the first for the MRGC after being officially recognized as a conference by the NCAA prior to the 2015 season. To be eligible for the award a student athlete must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have appeared on the squad list for the 2015 season.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference is one of only two NCAA Division I gymnastics-only conferences in the nation and is made up of member institutions: Boise State University (Boise, Idaho), Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), the University of Denver (Denver, Colo.), Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah) and Utah State University (Logan, Utah).

The MRGC will be made up of four schools in 2016 with the University of Denver moving to the Big 12 conference.
