CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Thunderbird football team recently held their annual Football Awards Show, celebrating the 2016 campaign.
The awards were voted on by the coaching staff and the players. The specific position awards came from the staff, while all other awards were voted on by the players themselves.
Senior wide receiver Mike Sharp was voted Team MVP. During the season Sharp caught 75 passes for 898 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Malik Brown was given the Offensive Player of the Year award, and Mike Needham was given the Defensive Player of the Year award. Tate Lewis was awarded Special Teams Player of the Year.
There were several other awards given out, which can be read in the list below.
Awards were also given out for individual games, with four being handed out for each win the Thunderbirds claimed during the course of the season. These are also all listed below.
