LOGAN, Utah - Southern Utah's Danielle Ramirez has been named the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Gymnast of the Week and Boise State's Sandra Collantes has been named the MRGC Specialist of the Week for their performances last week.

Ramirez, a junior from Corona, Calif., scored a 39.450 in the all-around in a tri-meet at Boise State last week, capturing the individual title. Ramirez scored a 9.875 on vault, bars and floor and rounded out her total with a 9.825 on beam as Southern Utah finished second to Boise State, 197.325-196.275 at the meet.

Collantes, a redshirt sophomore from Lima, Peru, scored a 9.925 on floor to tie for first on the event as Boise State gymnasts recorded seven 9.900's or higher en route to a school-record 197.325. Collantes also competed in the all-around, finishing behind Ramirez with a 39.350 and scoring 9.800 on vault, 9.875 on bars and 9.750 on beam.

Teams will all travel to Boise, Idaho, this week for the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Championships hosted by Boise State on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference is one of only two NCAA Division I gymnastics-only conferences in the nation and is made up of member institutions: Boise State University (Boise, Idaho), Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah) and Utah State University (Logan, Utah).

The 2016 Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championships will be hosted by Boise State and will be held in Taco Bell Arena on Saturday, March 19. Tickets for the meet can be purchased by calling the Boise State ticket office at (208) 426-4737 or by visiting broncosports.com/tickets.
