LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference recognized 46 student-athletes on Friday with academic all-MRGC accolades, honoring those athletes that finished the 2015-16 academic year with at least a 3.2 grade point average.

Boise State, 2016 MRGC champions, led the way with a conference-best 15 honors, followed by Southern Utah with 12, Utah State with 10 and BYU with nine. To be eligible for the award a student athlete must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have appeared on the squad list during the 2016 season.

“My congratulations to all the student-athletes and MRGC member institution programs for their classroom achievements”, said Dr. Brian Evans, Chairman of the MRGC Board of Directors. “The academic accomplishments of these young women, in tandem with each program's national ranking, is a remarkable feat”.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference is one of only two NCAA Division I gymnastics-only conferences in the nation and is made up of member institutions: Boise State University (Boise, Idaho), Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah) and Utah State University (Logan, Utah).
