Portland would score two more goals in the first half with goals by midfielder Jess Kennedy and forward Hannah Griffiths Boston in the 27th and 30th minutes, respectively.

The Thunderbirds would come into the second half looking to mount a major comeback, but ultimately could not get anything going.

The sixth and final goal for the Pilots would be scored with less than five minutes left to play by forward Lauren Marin.
