Southern Utah To Play Their Final Home Matches Of The Season This Week

CEDAR CITY, Utah - With just four games left in the season, the Southern Utah volleyball team will be looking to end their season on a high note. This week, they will be going up against Bengals of Idaho State and the Wildcats of Weber State. This will be a chance for redemption against these teams as the Thunderbirds fell against both of them previously in the season.

Last Time Out

In their last two outings, the Thunderbirds went up against Portland State and Sacramento State. Southern Utah took one of the sets in the match against Portland State but ultimately fell in four sets.

MaCail Evans led the Thunderbirds in this matchup crushing 16 kills with a .342 hitting percentage.

Evans is also still nationally ranked for her blocking efforts. She is 16th in the country with 122 total blocks for the year.

The Thunderbirds came out strong against Sacramento State. They played some of the their best volleyball of the season to claim the first set. However, the Hornets then came surging back to win it in four sets.
