Thunderbirds Host UM and MSU in Centrum Arena

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Thunderbirds return to the Centrum Arena for back-to-back #BigSkyMBB match-ups against the University of Montana (6-5) and Montana State (6-5).

Southern Utah most recently dropped two road games. The first against Weber State, 74-90, and the second against Idaho State, 68-94.

Randy Onwuasor continues to lead the Thunderbirds, averaging 23.0 points per game.

Words from Coach Todd Simon

“We have a big week with a couple more good tests against two teams that are doing well in the league overall. Being home is good for us, and hopefully we can get strong and finish strong here down the stretch.

“We're stuck in a place right now where we're not deep enough. We don't have quite the amount of experience we need. But with teams like us, when it all starts to come together, it usually gets on a roll pretty quick, and we're not far from that.”

A Look at the University of Montana

The Grizzlies enter T-Bird territory ranked No. 5 in the BSC with a 6-5 conference record, 11-13 overall. UM most recently picked up a 90-84 victory over rival Montana State.

Ahmaad Rorie currently leads the Grizzlies, pouring in 17.7 points per game. Michael Oguine and Walter Wright add 11.9 and 10.8, respectively.
