Tanner Hayhurst Tabbed a Finalist for CSC Academic All-American, Feroah and Burdick Earn All-District Honors

CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the Academic All-District Teams and the finalists for Academic All-America Honors. The SUU Men's Basketball team earned three spots on the All-District team: Jaiden Feroah, Tanner Hayhurst, and Kai Burdick.

Hayhurst was also tabbed as a finalist for the highly prestigious CSC Academic All-America award.

Head Coach Rob Jeter said

"Being a student-athlete is extremely difficult, with how much travel we have to do during season the team is required to do a lot of studying on their own, and these three showed incredible diligence throughout the year. I am proud of the work ethic they have showed on and off the court."

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Nominees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Kai Burdick really made strides in the final month of the season. Starting the final eight games of the season and setting career-highs in scoring in back-to-back games against Utah Tech and Utah Valley. He played in all 32 games for the Thunderbirds.

Jaiden Feroah was named to the All-WAC Defensive team after leading the entire league in blocked shots with 52 on the year. He also scored a career-high 35 points against Utah Tech to go along with 13 rebounds. Feroah was second on the team in scoring and led the T-Birds in rebounding.

Tanner Hayhurst was one of the best long-distance shooters in the conference. Making 53 three-pointers at an unbelievable 46.1% clip. He was third on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game and also corralled nearly four rebounds per contest.

These three not only excelled in what they did on the basketball court but were also excellent students in the classroom.
