CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University Athletics Department and America First Credit Union have announced a partnership to fund all new video boards inside the America First Event Center. In recognition of America First's investment, SUU will install AFCU logos on the floor of the arena immediately.

"Installation of these new video boards will be an enormous next step in continued evolution of our athletic department," SUU Deputy Athletic Director Frank Pucher said. "We would like to thank President Wyatt for his leadership during this process and for the University's commitment to improving the America First Event Center for our student-athletes, our institution and our community."

The size of the brand new main displays are roughly 8 feet tall and 46 feet wide, while the courtside LED board will be 44 feet long. All LED displays allow for dynamic live video and state of the art sponsor opportunities which will significantly enhance the in-game experience.

The project is anticipated to be completed in Summer of 2019.

"Thank you to America First Credit Union and specifically John Lund, Rich Syme and Tammy Gallegos for their transformational support of Southern Utah University and Thunderbird Athletics," Pucher added. "When complete, the America First Event Center will be one of the premier venues not only in the Big Sky Conference, but the entire Intermountain West region."
