SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Southern Utah soccer team lost a match on Sunday afternoon to the Sacramento State Hornets. Despite holding the Hornets scoreless in the first half, the Thunderbirds gave up three second-half goals, losing the match 3-0.
The Thunderbirds were outshot by the Hornets 18-3 and didn't earn a single corner kick compared to the 10 that Sac State took in the match.
After scoring two goals on Friday, MaKenzie Lawrence was held off the board in this one with the three Thunderbird shots coming from Allyson Carlisle, Meghan DeHerrera, and Amberly Hastings.
The Thunderbirds will return home to host Northern Colorado and Montana next weekend.
