FARMINGTON, Utah -- Both Stacey Hone and Shannon Webb have been honored by the Big Sky Conference on the league's All-Conference Second Team for their play throughout the season. 

"I think it's exceptional," SUU head coach Pete Hoyer said. "For Shannon to be the second leading scorer in the conference, given the number of balls we were setting her, is incredible because I'm pretty sure she has everyone's attention in their scouting reports. And Stacey, the way she has come on and her steadiness over the last month has been an incredible gift." 

Webb led the Thunderbirds in attacking, racking up 432 kills over the course of the season. She finished the regular season averaging 3.88 kills per set. She is tied for second in the Big Sky in terms of total kills, and holds the second spot to herself in average kills per set. 

Webb had an impact everywhere in her first season with SUU, as she also had 316 digs, which was second on the team, to go along with 29 blocks. 

Another T-Bird in their first season with the program, Hone finished second on the team with 368 total kills and a 3.30 kills per set average. She finished the regular season 10th in the Big Sky in terms of hitting percentage at .275.

These two helped the T-Birds finish fourth in the Big Sky Conference in kills per set.  

"Those two have been tremendous all year," Hoyer added. "I've got to give a shout out to Corrin Peterson too, because she's the one that's making our offense cook. She's doing a great job delivering the ball to the right people at the right time. She doesn't get the award, but she deserves a lot of credit for that." 

The Thunderbirds will embark on their quest for a Big Sky Conference title on Thursday at noon when they face off against the Weber State Wildcats in Sacramento, California.
