LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Freshman goalkeeper Isabella Whitmore set a new single-game saves record Sunday afternoon as the Southern Utah soccer team closed out the 2019 season with a 1-0 loss to UNLV. Whitmore made 19 saves in the match, which beat the previous record of 14 set by Holly Davis in 2005.
The Thunderbirds were outshot 37-2 in the match, with 20 of the Rebels' shots coming on goal and just one of the Thunderbirds' being on target.
Jadyn Nogues scored the goal for the Rebels in the 87th minute of play.
Amberly Hastings and Alia Shatswell took the only shots for the Thunderbirds.
Southern Utah finishes their season 1-15-2 overall and 1-6-2 in Big Sky play.
