POCATELLO, Idaho - The Southern Utah women's basketball team wrapped up a weekend road trip Saturday afternoon with a 47-80 loss to Idaho State.
Harley Hansen led the Thunderbirds with 12 points. Megan Kamps had 11 points (5-for-7 FG) and three steals off the bench. Jessica Chatman also finished in double digits with 10 points.
The Lady T-Birds shot 34 percent from the field and were just 1-for-11 from the three point line.
Southern Utah was only down by four after a close first quarter, but seemed to go cold in the second quarter. The Bengals outscored the Thunderbirds 22-8 to take a 43-28 lead into halftime.
The T-Birds found their rhythm offensively in the third quarter outscoring the Bengals 18-16, but couldn't carry it over into the fourth as they only scored 10 points while ISU exploded for 27.
The loss moves the Thunderbirds to 6-16 overall and 3-10 in Big Sky play.
The T-Birds will return home this week to host Sacramento State and Portland State.
