PROVO, Utah - The Southern Utah softball team wrapped up their 2019 non-conference schedule Wednesday night with a 5-0 loss to BYU in Provo.
Dream Weaver and Javlyn Weaver had the only hits in the game for the T-Birds as they both went 1-for-2.
The Thunderbirds had something going in the first inning as Madison Carr made it all the way to third base, but she would be stranded there and they would not be able to get another runner into scoring position for the rest of the game.
The Cougars scored first in the second inning after stringing a couple of hits together to make it 1-0. They would extend their lead in the fifth and sixth innings with two runs in each inning for the final score of 5-0.
The Thunderbirds will now look to host Idaho State for a three-game series this weekend starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 26. All three games will be streamed live on watchbigsky.com and live stats will be available at tbirdstats.com.
