FRESNO, Calif. -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbird women's tennis team competed against University of Colorado and Fresno State where they fell short in matches against both teams.

The Thunderbirds started with play against Colorado where they finished competition with a loss 0-7.

The team continued to compete against Fresno State where Jessica Steffan and Chloe Purkiss claimed the victory in doubles competition 6-4. Zoe Tanti and Daniela Cozzi also topped the competition finishing 6-3. These wins secured the doubles points for the women.

Ultimately the T-Bird women fell short to the Fresno State Bulldogs 1-6.

The Thunderbirds will compete again on January 24 against the University of Maryland.
