LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference released the winners of the MRGC Specialist of the Week awards for week one and Southern Utah juniors Mayson Bentley and Karley McClain both earned specific honors for the week.

Bentley was named MRGC Bars Specialist of the Week after scoring a 9.900 and earning the bars event title at the Best of Utah. This was the St. George native's first routine as a Thunderbird.

McClain was named MRGC Beam Specialist of the Week after scoring a 9.850 and finishing in fifth on the event at the Best of Utah. This is the South Jordan native's second Beam Specialist of the Week honor and the ninth total Specialist/Gymnast of the Week honor in her career.

The Flippin' Birds will continue their season this week as they host Air Force on Saturday January 16.
