FARMINGTON, Utah - The Big Sky Conference has named Southern Utah senior Liz Graves the Women's Basketball Player of the Week after her performance yesterday against UTRGV.
This is the second time Graves has earned the honor this season after winning it back on week three. It is the third of her career.
Graves scored 33 points in the Lady T-Birds' win over UTRGV Sunday afternoon, one point shy of her career high she set earlier this season against BYU. She shot 48 percent from the floor, went 9-for-10 from the free throw line, and pulled down 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.
The Mapleton native currently leads the Big Sky in scoring, averaging 19 points per game through her first eight games. She is also second in the conference in rebounding and field goal percentage, averaging 9.1 rebounds per game and shooting 51.9 percent from the floor.
The Lady T-Birds will face-off against UTRGV once again tonight at 6:30 p.m. inside the America First Event Center.
