CEDAR CITY, Utah -- After a resounding win to start the 2026-27 season, Southern Utah women's basketball travels to Las Cruces, NM, for its first road game of the season against the New Mexico State Aggies.
When asked about Friday's matchup, Head Coach Tracy Mason said:
"New Mexico State is long, aggressive, and physical. We will need to handle their pressure, take care of the ball, and limit their second-chance opportunities."
The Thunderbirds
Southern Utah comes into Friday's matchup after comfortably dispatching the Redlands Bulldogs on Monday, 87-31. In that season opener, the Thunderbirds dominated the glass, collecting a program-record 75 rebounds and surrendering only 27 boards to their opponents.
