CEDAR CITY, Utah - Southern Utah University Volleyball will start a five game homestand this weekend with the Weber State Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and the Idaho State Bengals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Time Out
SUU is coming off of a loss to Sacramento State that saw the Thunderbirds lose by only four points in the first set, and three points in the final two. Reagan Ashby led the T-Birds with nine kills and a .538 hitting percentage on 13 attempts. Julie Castleman added nine kills and Stacey Hone added eight.
Stats and Standings
SUU enters the weekend with a 1-5 record in Big Sky matches and 5-13 overall. The Thunderbirds are 2-3 at home this season but are coming off a four game losing streak.
Southern Utah ranks third in the conference with 2.31 blocks per set. Raegan Ashby (1.10) and Carissa Richie (1.09) rank fourth and fifth in blocks per set, respectively.
Scouting Report: Weber State (11-5, 6-0 BSC)
The Wildcats are running a six game win streak since entering conference play. Their last loss came September 17 against Kansas State. Rylin Adams leads Weber and the Big Sky in kills with 3.90 per set. Weber State is the defending Big Sky champion and took both matches against the Thunderbirds last season.
Scouting Report: Idaho State (6-12, 2-4 BSC)
Idaho State is coming off a three game losing streak, recording losses against Montana State, Weber State and Northern Colorado, while failing to win a single set across those matchups. The Bengals' last win came September 30 against the Montana Grizzlies. The Bengals rank fourth in the conference in digs with a 14.06 per set mark. Asiah Sopoga leads the team with 3.76 digs per set, good for fourth in the conference. Idaho State lost both matchups to the Thunderbirds last season.

Thursday's matchup with Weber State will start at 6:00 p.m inside the America First Event Center. Saturday's home match will start at 1:00 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at SUUTBirds.com.
