CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbirds will be traveling to Ogden, Utah to play their in-state rival, the Weber State Wildcats on Friday February 12 and Saturday February 13.
Last Time Out
The Thunderbirds went 2-0 last weekend, sweeping the University of Montana 3-1 in both matches at home on Sunday and Monday. SUU is now 2-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Within conference standings the T-Birds sit in seventh place.
Elisa Lago had a career high during Monday's game with 16 kills and 5 aces. Corrin Peterson also contributed defensively with 12 digs and Lago and Sarah Gasper finished with 11 each.
Peterson had 78 assists over the course of both games and is averaging 10.27 per set this season.
Scouting Report: Weber State Wildcats
The Wildcats went 2-0 in their last series against the Grizzlies of University of Montana on Sunday January 31 and Monday February 1. Weber State has a Big Sky record of 4-0.
Rylin Adams leads the Wildcats offensively with 67 kills this season, averaging 4.47 per set. Adams had 34 kills over the course of their Montana series last weekend. Setter Ashlyn Power leads in assists this season with 152, averaging 10.13 per set. Defensively, Makayla Sorensen leads the team in digs with 54 on the season, averaging 3.60 a set.
Head coach Jeremiah Larsen is in his sixth season as head coach.

Friday's match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. MT, and Sunday's is set to start at 4:00 p.m. MT.
